HOW TO JOIN PMBC?

Everyone needs to feel like they belong, and our prayer is for you to belong with us at Peace MB Church. Joining this ministry is an exciting, joyful, and easy experience. Before we share how to join as a member, you should know why we need to belong to a local church. Hebrews 10: 23-25 (NLT) reads, "Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." God wants all believers to come together and encourage each other until He returns. At Peace, you will find a loving atmosphere where one can be encouraged while making disciple at home and around the world. Now, how do you join? We have two options available for joining this ministry:

OPTION 1: IN-PERSON

At the conclusion of all worship services anyone who is not a member is encouraged to come forward to one of our deacons who will meet you at the altar. Our church secretary will meet you to get your name and acquiring type of membership. You will fill out a membership form and be enrolled in our New Member Orientation!

You may also choose to quietly tell any mother or deacon and they will walk with you or give you the form in the office.

OPTION 2: ONLINE

If you aren't comfortable walking up in front of the church, you may complete our online "NEW MEMBER" form. Once the form is completed and submitted, you will be enrolled in our New Member Orientation and  contacted by a member of our Leadership Team. You will be presented to church on the following 3rd Sunday Fellowship!

MEMBERSHIP TYPE:

Membership is acquired by one of four types:

#1- By Profession of Faith and Becoming a Candidate for Baptism: This means that one has confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and is requesting membership in the church upon completion of baptism. Baptism does not save a person; however, Jesus told his followers to be baptized. Baptism is a symbol of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After baptism, a person becomes a member of the church.

#2- By Christian Experience: This means that one has been previously baptized and is currently or has been recently a part of another Baptist church or a church of like faith and order and requests membership based on his or her knowledge and acceptance of Christ and Christian experience.

#3- By Letter Transfer: This means that one is already a member of another Baptist church of like faith and order and simply requests that his or her letter of membership be transferred to Peace Missionary Baptist Church.

#4- By Christian Watch-Care: This means that one has already been baptized and is currently seeking spiritual leadership and covering from Peace Missionary Baptist Church.

No matter which option and membership type you choose,

Peace will receive you "In The Joy of The Lord"!
